How To Find Great Rental Tenants

Finding great rental tenants is not always easy, especially in the economy we are currently experiencing. It can be a long, frustrating process that can end up taking multiple showings over several months at all hour of the day and night.Sell a Brooklyn Brownstone

I have a solution to all that hard work, find a good Realtor. Okay that may sound self-serving but there’s no better way to find quality tenants than to let a professional do it. After doing this for a number of years, you get a feel for people, and there is really no substitute for experience.

Here’s what I do to qualify potential tenants:

  • I meet every potential tenant and whoever they intend to have living with them in the apartment.

  • I have an extensive application that gathers all the pertinent information about the tenant, and I insist that they fill it out completely.

  • I will check the potential tenant’s credit.

  • I verify employment of the potential tenant.

  • I speak with the current landlord of the potential tenant.

  • I keep a database of qualified tenants and I send out an email notifying them of any new listings in their preferred neighborhoods.

Of course you can do all the things I do yourself, if you have the time and inclination, but that's my job. I do all these task gladly and efficiently saving you time, and in the long run, money.
